Hi there! So glad you’re here.

I’m the artist and designer behind Pines & Pixels Studio, where letters, characters, and stories turn into handmade pieces you can hold, gift, or use to make a space feel special.

I studied graphic design at the Art Institute, but most of what I do comes from a lifelong love of alphabets, languages, music, and nature. I grew up in the USSR with the Cyrillic alphabet and fell in love with other languages along the way. There’s something about letters—their rhythm, their mystery, their quiet beauty—that’s always pulled me in.

We moved so often when I was growing up, I used to joke my childhood was sponsored by U-Haul. Add in the child-of-divorce experience, and you’ve got a kid with a PhD in sensitivity. At 20, I moved to the U.S.—and for someone raised in the USSR, it felt like stepping into a parallel universe. In time, I made my way to the Canadian Rockies, where I now feel truly at home.

Today, I live in the Canadian Rockies with my husband, our three children, one always in our hearts, and our dog Freddie, who's always ready to lend an ear to every story—though I suspect she's mainly hoping for snacks!

Over the years, I’ve had the joy of running several creative shops and sending my work to customers around the world. Some ventures have come and gone, each one a chapter in my journey as an artist. I feel incredibly lucky to make a living doing what I love. During the toughest times, your appreciation for my work kept me grounded and gave me the courage to believe in myself—even when it felt hard.

Thank you for stopping by and for supporting artists—especially woman-owned businesses. It means more than words can express.

With love,
Eugenia
